OKX account security settings list (2026 version)
If you only do one thing to protect your account, complete this checklist first. Follow the steps below in order of priority.
Top Priority: Login and Withdrawal Security
- Enable Google Authenticator (do not rely on SMS alone)
- Set a trading password that is completely different from your login password
- Enable the withdrawal whitelist to restrict withdrawal addresses
Second Priority: Phishing Detection and Abnormal Login Alerts
- Set up an anti-phishing code
- Enable login notifications
- Check device management once a week and remove unfamiliar devices
Third Priority: API and Trading Permissions
- Disable API keys when not in use
- Grant only minimum necessary permissions when using APIs
- Disable withdrawal permission for API keys and restrict by IP whitelist
Weekly 5-Minute Review Template
- Were there any unfamiliar device logins this week?
- Did I receive any unusual emails or verification code requests?
- Does the withdrawal whitelist need updating?
Treat security as an ongoing process rather than a one-time setup, and your account risk will drop significantly.
